FCDC Elects New Chair for 2010-2011

Sorting the Food DriveAt the Reorganization meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 5th FCDC elected Rex Simmons as the new Chair for 2010-2011.? FCDC also elected the following officers
Vice Chair North – Barbara Caputo
Vice Chair Central – Lola Quintela
Vice Chair South – Mark Itzkof
Treasurer – Nadja Golding
Assistant Treasurer – Victor Mondino
Vice Chair Finance – Mary Ann Hovis
Vice Chair Outreach – Herb Smith
Vice Chair Precinct Operations – Sue Langley
Vice Chair Voter Registration and GOTV – Chris Ambrose
Vice Chair Technology – Todd Smyth
Recording Secretary – Ginny Peters
Corresponding Secretary – Bridget Murphy
At the meeting the FCDC also had a food and coat drive in honor or Rep. Jim Moran that collected 541 pounds of food, 47 coats, and an assortment of hats, gloves, and scarves. The food was donated to Food For Others (www.foodforothers.org) and the coats and accessories were donated to the Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter (www.shelterhouse.org)
FCDC also passed a resolution urging Governor Tim Kaine to issue an Executive Order restoring the vote for current ex-felons who have completed the terms of their sentences.?
