Petition to Ken Cuccinelli to stop wasting Virginia's time and taxes

Yesterday in Washington, our President signed historic health care reform that will make health coverage accessible and affordable for 1.2 million uninsured Virginians.
But here in Virginia, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has decided to wage a fruitless war against health care reform — by filing a frivolous lawsuit against the federal government.
Today, Virginians are fighting back.
Sign this petition calling on Ken Cuccinelli to stop wasting our tax dollars on his political stunts. Sign the petition today and tell Ken Cuccinelli that the Office of the Attorney General is the people’s law firm, not the piggy bank for his political agenda.
Cuccinelli hasn’t lifted a finger to help Virginians struggling with unemployment, home foreclosures and predatory loans. But he has filed two frivolous lawsuits against the federal government and tried to impose his political agenda on state colleges’ and universities’ non-discrimination policies.
And what is Ken Cuccinelli fighting? A health care bill that will help millions of Virginians:

  • 93,400 Virginia small businesses will be eligible for tax credits to provide health care
  • 1.2 million uninsured Virginians and 344,000 Virginians who purchase their own health care will have access to affordable health options through state-based insurance exchanges
  • Virginians with pre-existing conditions will no longer be subject to insurance discrimination
  • 190,000 Virginia seniors who are victims of the Medicare ‘donut hole’ for prescriptions will save money on needed drugs as the ‘donut hole’ is closed

Read all of the statistics here: http://dpc.senate.gov/docs/sr-111-2-41_states/va.pdf
But these aren’t just numbers on paper, each one of these represents a fellow Virginian, and we need to join our President  in standing up for these forgotten Virginians.
Shame on our Attorney General for spending his time and our money fighting a politically motivated battle against this needed reform. Please sign this petition today and calling on Attorney General Cuccinelli to get back to work on behalf of Virginians and to stop using our money as his political piggy bank.
