For High School Seniors:
You are eligible to register to vote if you are:

  • A citizen of the United States
  • At least 18 years of age by the next November general election*
  • A resident of Virginia
    *Please note that town elections (Herndon, Vienna, Clifton) require the voter to be 18 years of age by Election Day, rather than by the next November general election.

Tuesday, February 25: Deadline To Apply To Receive An Absentee Ballot


The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot online, by mail, by fax, or by email is Tuesday, February 25, seven days prior to Election Day by 5:00 pm.

Absentee ballots, to be counted, must be returned to the Office of Elections by 7:00 pm on Election Day, March 3, 2020.
