Census 2020 Sample Questionnaire

From the Census Bureau: “There is no citizenship question on the 2020 Census.”

The Census 2020 questionnaire that all residents of the United States are required to complete – online, by phone, or by mail – does not have a citizenship question.

The Census Bureau will send invitations to respond to the Census in mid-March. The invitations will be addressed to households, not individuals.

Everyone living in the 50 states, District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands) is required by law to be counted in the 2020 Census.
