Become a Member of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee

Membership gives you a voice and a vote in the policies and decisions of FCDC.

How do you become a member?

1. Fill out the application with dues payment (or waiver – obtainable from your District Chair), and submit it to FCDC Headquarters or to your District Chair.

Note: the current membership term expires in December 2017.  After that, all FCDC members will need to re-apply (with dues or waiver) in order to remain a member for the following term through December 2019.

2. Be elected by the membership of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.  New members are introduced at their District meetings and confirmed at the next General Meeting of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.  Check our Calendar for the next meeting.

New members may continue to apply throughout the 2016-2017 Biennium.

Current Term 2016-2017
The Party Plan establishes membership for 2 year increments. Committees reorganize in December and January.  Those joining now will be a member for the current term through the end of 2017.
Who Can Join?
You must be a resident of Fairfax County.  Members do not have to be registered voters, and there is no restriction on age. High school students who have been active, enthusiastic volunteers have been elected to FCDC membership.
