Medicaid Expansion: Report from the Room Where it Happened
Medicaid expansion was a major victory for Virginians. Following years of blockage by Republicans, a team of mostly Fairfax County Democratic legislators, backed by our blue wave election of 2018, pushed it through this year with persistence and couple of fancy moves.
Sen. George Barker and Del. Mark Sickles were “in the room where it happened, where the game was played, where the sausage was made.” They will discuss what Medicaid expansion means to Virginians, and how it got passed at 7-9 pm Wednesday, July 11, at Fairfax County Democratic Committee (FCDC) Headquarters.
