This past weekend, the canvassers were out in full force again. The weather cooperated and by 10:00 a.m. the volunteers – clipboards and water bottles in hand – were ready to go. Thank you, volunteers! You gave up your Saturday morning to ensure that our next President will be a Democrat and that he will have the support of our Junior Senator from Virginia, Mark Warner!
The results:
One hundred and twenty one volunteers reported for duty and they knocked on over 5,500 doors!
Many of you came out, but we can still use more help. Get involved, be a part of history, be proud of your accomplishments. Check the website to find an updated list of the canvasses planned for the coming weekend.
In the meantime, let us all remember the words of Robert F. Kennedy: “Our future may lie beyond our vision, but is not completely beyond our control. It is the shaping impulse of America that it is neither fate nor chance nor the irreversible tides of history that determine our destiny as individuals or as a people. Rather, it is reason and it is principle, and it is the work of our own hands.”
