In 1987, living in Kings Park West, a young mother of two children who attended Laurel Ridge School where my wife was the librarian, came knocking on my door.   “Hi, I’m Sharon Bulova and I am running for Supervisor”, she said.  It was July, very hot and she was dripping wet from perspiration.  She did not look “supervisory”!  “Would you like a glass of water”? I asked.  “That would be wonderful” was her reply.  So then we talked!  She knew my family from school and I knew about her from her work in the District office.  She left going on to the next house and my comment was, “nice person, but she’ll never make it as Supervisor.”
Well, guess I missed that one!!
Make it she did!  21 years later as Braddock Supervisor she is now the strongest candidate for Chairman in this year’s abbreviated election race.
Fairfax County needs Sharon Bulova.  We need her because:
She is fair
She is knowledgeable
She is strong
She is bright
She has a proven track record to run on
She is forward-thinking
She is a leader
She knows the county
We need Sharon Bulova.
You can fool me once but not twice.  Sharon has proved herself in the Braddock District to be person of integrity, high energy, and ability.
We need Sharon Bulova and we need to help Sharon Bulova get elected.  Let’s go to work on her behalf for the benefit of Fairfax County.
