to Discuss
National Security and the 2012 Election
Presidential elections usually hinge on domestic rather than foreign policy. But given the global interconnections and interrelationships of the 21st Century, this traditional divide has lost its meaning. In addition, the definition of national security has expanded well beyond classic issues of war and peace. So, 2012 will be a national security election. Experience is with the Democrats. We should welcome the upcoming debate, but we need to understand how to best present our case.
