Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today is the time to remember Martin Luther King Jr. and his civil rights legacy. Dr. King inspired the country to stand up for equality, justice and equal opportunity.
Dr. King brought hope for change and hope for goodness. His determination and courage to peacefully fight for his convictions led to him becoming the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
I encourage everyone to honor Dr. King, and what he strived for, by engaging, and volunteering in, our communities to serve the people that Dr. King dedicated his life to fight for.
