FCDC Chair and 11th Congressional District Chair’s Joint Statement on Joe Biden Leaving the 2024 Race

FAIRFAX COUNTY – The Fairfax County Democratic Committee would like to express our deepest appreciation to Joe Biden for his service to our country. From rebuilding the economy post pandemic, checking corporate power, supporting labor unions, and fighting for equal rights, to his many other vast accomplishments, President Biden’s time in office has made him one of the most consequential Presidents in the history of our nation.

FCDC Chair Aaron Yohai and 11th Congressional District Chair Manisha Singh made the following statement: “Joe Biden has exemplified his patriotism in making this decision by putting the future of our country first, and we are grateful to him for all that he has done for his fellow Americans. Now, just as President Biden and DPVA Susan Swecker have, we are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for President. We must work to defeat Donald Trump, and we believe it is in our best interest to unify behind Vice President Harris.”

We are grateful to Joe Biden for serving as our 46th President and for his nearly 50 years of public service.
