Friday Power Lunch: Every Action Counts

With just eight weeks until the election, every action matters. This week, we’ll focus on what we can each do to get out the vote. There’s no single best way to inspire people to vote Democrat, so we encourage creative approaches. Join us to hear how others use their passions and skills to engage voters.

• Michele Hornish (Lawyer, communications consultant, strategist, Executive Director of Every State Blue, and Founder of “Small Deeds Done” Substack newsletter) will share stories of innovative and unique actions and events people are doing from pickleball politics to buying an old bus and making it a rolling campaign headquarters. She will also discuss how Every State Blue is supporting rural candidates who aren’t receiving support anywhere else.
• Reid McCollum (Project Outreach Director of Progressive Turnout Project and Founder of Postcards to Swing States) will present their distributed organizing, paid door-knocking program in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
• Congressional Candidate Ken Mitchell (CD 6) and Jeanne Russell (social media manager) will share about how they’ve built a grassroots campaign. Because they have limited financial resources, they have built a fun and creative campaign that is getting noticed in this tough district. As the sayin goes, if you can’t outspend them, outsmart them with creativity.
