Friday Power Lunch: On the Move for Biden Harris

The Presidential election is in full swing. This week on the Friday Power Lunch (5-17-2024) we will discuss grassroots and official campaign efforts to re-elect President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Women for Biden-Harris (WFBH) Grassroots Coalition started as a digital community during COVID and has become an online and offline force of over 750,000 followers active across social media and in almost every state. Betsy Fiebach, Founding Member & States Leadership, will tell us what the WFBH grassroots community is doing to support the Biden-Harris re-election effort and elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

The official Biden-Harris campaign is on the ground in Virginia. We will get a campaign update from the Virginia leadership team, Tonya James, Virginia Political and Coalitions Director, and Tyee Mallory, Senior Advisor.

People are not informed and many are unaware of the threats to Democracy from voting rights to women’s healthcare. As we often discuss on the Friday Power Lunch, no one will swoop in and educate the public. It is up to us to be the messengers. Virginia Beach political consultant, Joel Rubin, will share how he advises candidates on how to make political issues relatable by talking about them through personal stories.
