Virginia Vigil & Advocacy Day To Prevent Gun Violence

Outdoor Vigil in memory of the Virginia victims of gun violence starts at 2:00 PM at the Bell Tower on the grounds of the Virginia Capitol Square complex. Following the vigil, gun violence prevention activists will visit our Delegates and State Senators in the General Assembly office building to advocate for gun safety. Children are welcome. Please dress for outdoor weather and walking. No handheld flags please since they are not allowed in the office building. Many local restaurants will be closed due to the holiday so please plan ahead for the day. Coolers with all food/beverage/medicines, extra clothing, diaper bags & strollers, signs etc. are all welcome on the bus. You will be assigned to a group with a team lead for our visits to our representatives.

Bus leaves 11:00 AM Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, from the Occoquan Commuter Parking lot (off I-95 South in Prince William County) for the Virginia Capitol Square complex. Departure 5:00 PM for the return drive to the Occoquan Commuter Parking lot. ETA will be around 7:30 PM.
